This is clicking on a link, downloading and running a program, or entering a fake site to get a username and password,” explains Permyakov.

According to him, malicious emails can be detected by several signs, in particular, by a strong recommendation to do something (open a website, download software), Permyakov notes.

“Another sign is that the links in the email lead to sites on other domains than the original.

Also, the message may indicate programs and events about which there is no information on the main website of the organization.

The last sign is that contact information is not specified or personal phone numbers and e-mails that are not associated with the organization are indicated, ”the expert added.

When receiving suspicious letters, the expert advises to be more careful and always check the primary sources, including the official website of the company, university, store, etc.

Permyakov notes that caution is extremely important, since scammers are now testing other ways to deceive people related to the situation in Ukraine and the financial condition of the country.
