An Iranian Revolutionary Guards officer was assassinated by unknown gunmen in Tehran

Iranian media announced the assassination of an officer in the Revolutionary Guards, on Sunday, by two unknown assailants, who targeted him near his home in the capital, Tehran, while they were riding a motorcycle, and they fled.

According to the "Tasnim" news agency of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, an officer with the rank of colonel, Hassan Sayyad Khadayi, was assassinated today, south of the capital, Tehran, by unknown gunmen.

The agency stated that "the senior officer of the Revolutionary Guards, Hassan Sayyad, was killed in a rare assassination operation in Tehran, in one of the side alleys of the street where his house is located."

The agency said, quoting an informed source, that two people riding a motorcycle opened fire on my cheeks.

 In its statement, the Revolutionary Guards did not specify who was involved in this operation yet.
