On the afternoon of the 21st, President Yoon Seok-yeol will hold the first Korea-US summit with US President Joe Biden at the Oval Office in Yongsan.



The meeting will be held for 90 minutes in the order of small-group talks, exchanges, and extended talks in the office room on the 5th floor of the government building.



Afterwards, a joint press conference with the Korean and American media will be held in the auditorium on the first basement floor.



At this conference, the US-ROK joint declaration will also be announced.



At this summit, North Korea's nuclear response, economic security, and regional cooperation will be discussed as key agenda items.



After visiting the Pyeongtaek Samsung semiconductor plant together yesterday, the two leaders reached a consensus on developing the Korea-U.S. alliance into a technological alliance in addition to a military and economic alliance.

Technical cooperation such as semiconductors and batteries and securing supply chains are common interests of both countries.



As it is known that North Korea's seventh nuclear test and intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) test launch are imminent, plans to strengthen extended deterrence against North Korea are expected to be intensively discussed.



It is also noteworthy how much President Yoon will respond to the US side's message of containment to the public.

After the meeting, a welcome banquet hosted by President Yoon will be held at the National Museum of Korea near the Yongsan Presidential Office.



The dinner will be attended by the heads of top 10 domestic groups.



There is also the possibility that President Yoon's spouse, Kim Kun-hee, will greet President Biden at the dinner.



President Biden will meet with Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun on the morning of the 22nd, the last day of his visit to Korea.



President Biden will then visit the Air Force Operations Command's Air and Space Operations Center (KAOC) in Osan, Gyeonggi Province, along with President Yoon, to encourage soldiers in conducting joint US-ROK operations.
