After his post attracted attention, Salomonsson has been self-critical and said that in future he should be more careful with his tweeting and which sources he uses.
Leaves all assignments
The announcements have also been criticized by the Sweden Democrats' district chairman and the party's group leader in Olofström.
And now Salomonsson chooses to leave all assignments for the party.
"I have had a serious conversation with Willy and he understands that this is unsustainable.
He has thought through the situation and understands how badly this can be interpreted and announced that he will resign all assignments for SD ", writes the party's group leader in Olofström, Max Nielson, to BLT.
