More monkeypox cases found in the Netherlands

The health authorities in the Netherlands announced today, Saturday, the discovery of more cases of monkeypox in the country, a day after the first case was confirmed.

"We have discovered a number of monkeypox cases in the Netherlands," the National Institute of Health said in a statement.

The institute did not provide specific numbers for the number of injuries and did not announce details of the injured people, but said that more information would be announced after the weekend.

More than 100 cases were detected in Europe, in what Germany described as the largest outbreak of the disease in the region to date.
