The couple, a modest salesman and the manager of a hair salon, describes themselves as "non-materialistic".

This sum will allow them to afford some pleasures such as the purchase of a new car or a family rugby match.

Or a trip to Hawaii, which their children would dream of.

Joe Thwaite and his wife, Jess, who runs a hair salon in Gloucester, have gone public after scooping Britain's biggest-ever lottery win last week.
