The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, discussed ways to peacefully resolve the Iranian nuclear file during his meeting yesterday, Friday in Berlin, with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

During a joint press conference, the Emir of the State of Qatar expressed his hope that the various parties to the nuclear agreement would reach an agreement, stressing Qatar's readiness to participate in that.

For his part, Schultz said that he discussed with Sheikh Tamim the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, which include all fields.

Schultz added - during a joint press conference in Berlin - that Qatar is an important partner for Germany in the fields of trade and investment, and that regular consultations for cooperation will begin between the two countries.

The Emir of the State of Qatar indicated that he discussed with Schultz Doha's efforts in Afghanistan, and they agreed that there are challenges that require joint international efforts to solve them.

The Emir of Qatar added that he discussed with the German chancellor Doha's preparations for organizing the World Cup, stressing Qatar's welcome to the German public, who requested about 600,000 tickets to attend the World Cup matches.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani - who also met a number of German officials, including President Frank-Walter Steinmeier - stressed that Qatar will not prevent anyone from coming to Doha and enjoying football, and that it also expects to respect its culture.

Partnership Agreement

Germany and the State of Qatar signed an agreement to develop their partnership in the field of energy, where the Qatari Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi signed the agreement with the German Minister of Economy Robert Habeck.

The agreement stipulates the holding of regular meetings between the two sides and the establishment of a working group focused on developing commercial relations in the field of liquefied natural gas and hydrogen, in addition to a group specialized in renewable energy.

In an interview with Al Jazeera during a previous publication, the official spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Majid Muhammad Al-Ansari, said that consultations are taking place regarding reconciliation between the parties to the Iranian nuclear negotiations.

He expressed his country's hope to reach an agreement as soon as possible.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman added to Al Jazeera that the Emir of Qatar discussed with European leaders during his current European tour the latest developments in Palestine, and that he demanded an investigation into the assassination of Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh and to hold Israel responsible for her assassination.
