Outside the town hall in Torsås, there are two public charging points for electric cars that visitors can charge at.

These two are the municipality's only public charging stations.

When SVT Nyheter Småland visits Torsås, both places are occupied by ordinary cars that block the chargers.

"Purchase the service"

Amie Ringberg (MP), who is the first name on the Green Party's list ahead of the local elections this autumn, thinks that the municipality in its quest to get more charging stations should go out and actively procure the service from companies that can then build the charging posts and also handle the administration around charging. .

Henrik Nilsson Bokor (S), chairman of the municipal board, does not agree that it is a municipal responsibility to ensure that there are more charging stations in Torsås.
