Top politician: "The green transition must go faster"

- We need new and fast production of green energy now, not in ten years.

Then wind power is central to that expansion, says Beata Allen (C), chairman of the municipal board in Aneby. 

This autumn, the new wind farm in Knohult in Aneby municipality will be ready.

There will be 12 wind turbines with a total height of 205 meters.  

Several appeals 

But the road there has been long.

Before construction began, more than 30 appeals were received.

In Lönhult, there are plans to build four wind turbines.

That construction has been appealed in several instances before the Supreme Land and Environmental Court finally gave the go-ahead for construction. 

- We must ensure that we get faster processes that are legally secure and that all tests are done that must be done, she says.
