“Today, Georgian citizen David Gerliani was extradited from Cairo, accompanied by employees of the NCB Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.

He is accused of committing crimes under Part 3 of Article 163 and Part 1 of Article 210.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation,” the statement says.

According to law enforcement agencies, Gerliani created and led a criminal group whose members extorted 15 million rubles from a man in 2020.

On January 7, it became known that crime boss Arman Dzhumageldiev, known as Wild Arman, was detained in Alma-Ata.
