U.S. President Biden has arrived in South Korea to begin his visit to South Korea.



US President Biden arrived at the US military base in Osan at around 5:22 pm today (20th) and was greeted by Foreign Minister Park Jin.



President Biden visited Samsung Electronics' semiconductor factory in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do as his first visit to Korea, and met for the first time with President Yoon Seok-yeol, who was waiting at the factory.



Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong performed the two summits.



President Biden will hold his first summit meeting with President Yoon at the Presidential Office in Yongsan, Seoul tomorrow.



Afterwards, the two leaders announce the results of their talks through a joint press conference in the auditorium of the government building.



This is President Biden's first visit to South Korea and Japan since taking office in January last year.



President Biden, on his first Asian tour, will be in Korea for three days and two nights until the day after tomorrow, before moving to his next destination, Japan, where he will stay until the 24th.



President Biden's visit to South Korea comes ten days after Yoon's inauguration.
