The Sami village has submitted an 18-page letter to the district court.
There, they argue that they should have the right to exclusive hunting and fishing rights in their area with reference to antiquity.
According to P4 Norrbotten, the County Administrative Board of Norrbotten has informed the Sami village that they are aware of the girja judgment - but that they nevertheless continue to grant hunting rights in the area until the government gives instructions on something else.
