The situation has already changed dramatically,” Pushkov wrote on Telegram.

The senator added that in search of a way out of the current situation, representatives of the West "start from the realities of yesterday, but not today."

“They are very late in their perception of the course of events ... And then they are forced to submit to a new reality - not the one in which they live, but one that is ahead of their thoughts and actions,” Pushkov emphasized.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the secretariat of the organization missed the opportunity to achieve a peaceful settlement in Ukraine when they did not react to Kyiv's sabotage of the Minsk agreements for seven years.
