President Yoon Seok-yeol said, "I expect that it will go well" regarding the confirmation vote of Prime Minister Han Deok-soo scheduled for the afternoon of the 20th.

On the way to the Yongsan presidential office on the same day, President Yoon responded to a question about whether he would decide to pursue a candidate for Minister of Health and Welfare Jeong Ho-young when the results of the approval of a candidate came out, saying, "I appointed the prime minister with cooperation in mind from the beginning."

President Yoon emphasized, "One candidate was the chief of economics during the days of President Kim Dae-jung, and the head of the Office of Government Policy Coordination, Deputy Prime Minister and Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea under President Roh Moo-hyun."

Regarding the Korea-U.S. summit scheduled for tomorrow, he said, "Because there are many changes in the international community, it will be an opportunity for the US-ROK relationship to become stronger and to move towards an alliance that encompasses a wider scope."

Regarding opinions concerned about Korea-China relations, he said, "There is no need to view it as such a zero-sum," he said.
