The police were alerted at 16.25 to Hägerstensåsen after information that a man had been stabbed in the stomach outside a gate.
Two perpetrators must then have left the scene.
The man was taken by ambulance to hospital with unclear injuries.
- We have an ongoing operation, the crime scene is cordoned off and a technical investigation will be made.
We will also talk to witnesses in the area, says Anna Westberg, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Region Police.
A preliminary investigation into a suspected assassination attempt has been initiated.
