Heat wave The extreme heat will peak on Saturday with more than 35 degrees in almost 30 capitals
The unusual episode of
extreme heat
these days tightens a little more this Friday with warnings for high temperatures in 10 provinces, three of them for values that will reach at least
40 degrees and haze.
The prediction of the
State Meteorological Agency
(Aemet) indicates that temperatures will drop in the Bay of Biscay and will rise in the rest of the western half of the peninsula.
Meteorology has activated the orange warning, important risk for outdoor activities, in
Córdoba and Seville
(40 degrees in the Countryside) and Jaén (40 in the entire province except for the Cazorla and Segura mountains), which will become the epicenter from the
stifling heat
.
In addition, there is a
yellow warning
in areas of Badajoz (38 degrees in the entire province except the south), Ciudad Real (38 degrees in the entire province), Granada (39 in the Genil basin), Huelva (38 in El Andévalo and El Condado, and 36 on the coast), Jaén (38 in Cazorla and Segura),
Madrid
(36 in the entire province except in the mountains) and Toledo (38 in the Tagus Valley).
The thermometers will mark between
10 and 15 degrees higher than normal
in areas of Andalusia, Aragon, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Catalonia, the Community of Madrid, Extremadura, La Rioja, Navarra and the Basque Country.
There will be between
5 and 10 degrees more
than usual in most of the rest of the peninsula, almost the entire island of Mallorca and the middle of the Canary Islands.
Temperatures will be lower than usual only on the Cantabrian coast, Cabo de la Nao and the coasts of Tenerife, the north of Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura.
The
hottest capitals
will be Córdoba and Jaén (41ºC);
Seville (40);
Ciudad Real and Granada (39);
Toledo (38);
Badajoz (37);
Almería, Huelva, Madrid and Zamora (36), and Albacete, Cáceres, Lleida, Pamplona and Valladolid (35).
Instead, the coolest environment will be in A Coruña and Oviedo (21), and San Sebastián (22).
Cantabrian area
On the other hand, the sun will shine in most of the country with a few
exceptions
.
For example, there will be cloudy intervals throughout the northern tip of the peninsula, with the possibility of a shower or storm, more likely in the
Cantabrian area
.
In the rest of the peninsula cloudiness of diurnal evolution could appear in the afternoon.
The Balearic Islands will have slightly cloudy skies and the Canary Islands will have cloudy intervals in the north of the islands, with the probability of some light
rain
in those with greater relief, and few clouds in the south.
Finally, this Friday winds will blow from the east and southeast in the eastern half of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, with intervals of strong lift in the Strait and the eastern coast of Andalusia (which is why there is a yellow warning for
gusts of 70 km/h in Cádiz
and rough seas on the coasts of Almería and Cádiz), and from the northeast in Galicia and the Canary Islands, with strong intervals on the Galician coast.
