A particular way of speaking or being, a specific aspect, a specific origin... does it help to have your own accent in the field of work?

Although we are increasingly aware that

any type of discrimination represents an irremediable loss of talent

, much remains to be done to understand that the sum of people with different profiles is a bet that enriches the world, including the world of work.

And you, would you hide your accent for a job?

'Se Busca Personal Con Mucho Acento' is a social experiment carried out this month in Seville, with which Cruzcampo looks at street

level for people's reactions to a possible job offer and if they are capable of censoring certain features of their personality

to be more easily accepted.

Carried out with the utmost respect for so many people who face workplace discrimination in a very real way, the experiment confirms a trend.

"Good things always come out of mixing and adding different accents. And

the new generations are the most aware that showing themselves as they are and defending their own personality, their accent, is their best letter of introduction

, both in a job interview and on a personal level" - explains María Ruiz Sanguino, head of Cruzcampo.

"This Cruzcampo experiment comes to show a ray of light on the change that is gradually occurring in society", she adds.

To perform a job well, it should not matter if you have a Galician, Andalusian or Kurdistan accent.

Much less have straight hair, an Afro, a half-sleeve tattoo or an eyebrow piercing.

May 21 is Diversity Day, and Cruzcampo once again invites us to "never lose our accent or what makes us so special, our essence. The accent is your treasure, never lose it

. "
