During its Google I/O event, Google announced the introduction of new features on Google Maps services, to make it more enjoyable and useful for users.

According to experts at Google, the most important feature that Google Maps will get is the “Immersive View” feature, which will enable users to have a virtual tour with distinctive effects.

Google will launch this service currently to show the streets of Los Angeles, London, New York, San Francisco and Tokyo, and in the future it will be added to Google Maps services to include other global cities.

The new feature in “Google Maps” combines the virtual tour feature with aerial images of cities and streets, to give the user a feeling as if he is wandering in the place he sees on the map, and by using the time bar in the feature, the place he sees at different times of the day will be shown to him, and information about the status will be shown to him. Through this feature, he will also be able to search for restaurants, cafes and establishments in the area or street he is looking for.

Google indicated that its new feature is supposed to work on the "Google Maps" application across most smartphones soon, and it also indicated that it will provide "Live View" services for software developers to support these services with augmented reality technologies.
