Police and rescue services rushed to Tensta a couple of miles north of Uppsala at half past ten on Thursday morning.

The overturned truck risked slipping into a body of water at the quarry.

- It leans very strongly, said Magnus Jansson Klarin, press spokesperson at police region Mitt earlier.

Fixed for an hour

One hour after the alarm came, the rescue service had managed to stabilize the truck and get the driver out.

- We have got one person out of the truck.

He was not trapped and should not be injured, says Ludvig Sääf at the Greater Stockholm Rescue Center.

Residual value leaders at the rescue service have been contacted for further assessment of how the vehicle should be handled as it contains both diesel and hydraulic oil.

It is currently not known how the accident happened.

Police are on hand to hear witnesses.
