“To quickly identify possible cases of monkeypox, the Vector State Scientific Center for Virology and Biotechnology of Rospotrebnadzor quickly created an autonomous test system and successfully conducted its laboratory tests,” the Rospotrebnadzor said in a statement.
It is noted that the test is effective and does not detect cross-reactions with measles, rubella and chickenpox viruses.
Earlier, the Massachusetts Department of Health in the United States announced the identification of the first case of monkeypox in 2022.
