A person was wounded by bullets this Thursday morning in a school in Bremerhaven, in northern Germany.
The shooter was arrested according to a police spokeswoman.
The police operation is still ongoing, and the establishment is sealed off.
The assailant entered the school compound and fired his weapon.
The injured person is "not a student" of the school, police said in a statement, adding that she had been taken to hospital without specifying the severity of her injuries.

“The students are with their teachers in the classrooms,” police added, adding that the situation at the school was “under control”.
