Peter Carlsson promised in his summer talk in P1 that he would offer accommodation near the battery factory for burgers.
Due to the pandemic, it has not happened until now.
This week, the factory in Skellefteå passed 1,000 employees - before the construction is complete, that number must be quadrupled.
- We were more worried about the project a year ago to get people together.
But it is based on the municipality and the construction companies delivering, among other things, housing for it to succeed.
Otherwise we will have big problems.
We have doubled the factory since we submitted the application for a building permit, says Peter Carlsson.
Do not think the project is delayed
The Ukraine war has affected the company as well as the lack of semiconductors and increased delivery times from Asia.
- Prices have gone up on almost everything, steel concrete, of course.
We have learned to work even smarter to keep the cost budget.
But of course everything has become more expensive and so we have the delivery times of important components from Asia.
It will not delay the project but it is clear that there are risks, says Peter Carlsson.
On 5 June, the official inauguration will take place at the factory in Skellefteå.
