The Jordanian Royal Court announced the restriction of Prince Hamzah's contacts, residence and movements, as King Abdullah II confirmed that his brother, the Emir, had exhausted all opportunities to return to his senses and adhere to the family biography, as well as ignoring the facts and manipulating the facts.

In a statement issued this evening, Thursday, the Court said that the Royal Decree approved the recommendation of the Council formed under the Royal Family Law to restrict Prince Hamzah's contacts, residence and movements, which the Council submitted to King Abdullah II since last December 23.

And a message sent by King Abdullah II to the Jordanian people stated that "it has been confirmed that Prince Hamzah lives in an illusion that he sees himself as the guardian of the Hashemite heritage."

The Jordanian king said that he "exercised restraint with his brother Hamza, and exercised the utmost degree of tolerance with him in the hope that he would mature, but he was disappointed."

The king stated that after revealing the details of the “sedition” case last year, he chose to deal with his brother, Prince Hamzah, within the family framework, in the hope that he would realize his mistake and return to his senses (...) .

disappointment

The king explained that he reached a disappointing conclusion that Prince Hamzah will not change what he is, and he continued, saying, “This conviction took root in me after every act and every word of my little brother, whom I always looked at as a father looked at his son.”

He added that it was confirmed that Prince Hamzah was subjected to a systematic targeting campaign by our institutions, and his repeated addresses reflected a state of denial of the reality in which he is living, and his refusal to bear any responsibility for his actions.

King Abdullah II said that Prince Hamzah tried to impose friction on the royal guards on the morning of Eid al-Fitr, in an indication of his quest to ignite crises, according to the statement.

On April 4 last year, Jordan announced preliminary investigations that showed Prince Hamzah's involvement with foreign parties, in an attempt to destabilize the country's security and mobilize citizens against the state, which the prince denied.

A day before that, the various security services arrested the former head of the royal court, Basem Awadallah, and others as part of these investigations.
