Britain recommends Corona booster doses for this category

British vaccination advisers have recommended a new round of booster doses against the coronavirus that causes Covid-19 for the elderly and those most at risk in the fall, saying the pandemic threat could rise again as winter approaches, Bloomberg News reported.

The Joint Committee on Immunization and Immunization said that a further dose should be offered to people 65 and older, nursing home residents and workers, health and social care workers working on the front lines, as well as people aged 16 to 64 who are included in the disease risk group.

The new campaign follows a spring booster round that was offered to a limited number, including those 75 and over.

The move comes at a time when the spread of the Corona virus has been declining in the United Kingdom in recent weeks, although other strains can emerge and studies have shown that the protection provided by vaccinations declines with time.
