Analyst Fedosova commented on the bill banning surrogacy for foreigners

According to her, the topic of surrogate motherhood has been discussed in the Duma since 2020.

“A special public outcry was caused by the data of one of the participants in the“ black market ”, according to which about 22 thousand babies from Russia are a“ surrogate ”export,” she clarifies.

Fedosova added that Russia and the CIS countries are "the main" market "for the purchase of surrogate children."

She clarified that it is important to support families in Russia who cannot, for whatever reason, have children.

“There may be further public discussion here,” the RT interlocutor concluded.

Earlier it became known about the approval by the State Duma committee of a bill banning surrogate motherhood for foreigners.
