Already during the district court hearings on Tuesday, a witness told that he was with the 18-year-old at the time of the murder, which in that case would give the 18-year-old an alibi.

On Wednesday, this was repeated when another friend testified that he was with the 18-year-old at the time of the murder.

They did not say this in a police interrogation, but the 18-year-old's lawyer was not surprised.

- My principal has claimed this all the time, says Rickard Sjöström who represents the 18-year-old to SVT.

In the clip, you can hear our reporter on site Ida Andersson summarize the testimonies and the day in the courtroom.

Brief testimony

It was Rickard Sjöström who called Wednesday's witness and the lawyer asked, among other things, why he had not told this at the previous police interrogations.

He received a very short answer:

- Now I'm called as a witness.

When the prosecutor asked the same question and pointed out that he had been able to free his friend with this information, he was even more concise.

"I do not know," he replied only briefly.

Sparse with comments about the testimonies

When the trial ends on Friday, the question of the 18-year-old's alibi will probably be addressed in his lawyer's closing argument.

But at the moment he is sparing with comments.

On Wednesday, which was the fourth day of the trial, in addition to the 18-year-old's friend, police and a forensic doctor were called to testify.
