The men were arrested in December 2018 after a security guard discovered them inside the Swedish Armed Forces' naval base on Muskö south of Stockholm.

It turned out that they had been inside on two occasions and taken over a hundred photos and film clips around the facility.

The men, from Belgium and the United Kingdom, were later charged with unauthorized access to secret information, unauthorized access to protected objects and unlawful depiction of protected objects.

"Make up but"

- These photos and films constitute a threat to the national security if they should end up in the hands of a foreign power, because with this material you can say that they carried out parts of a survey of this facility, prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist has previously told TT .

There is no evidence to suggest that the men intended to obtain foreign power with the material.

Abandoned environments

They themselves claim that they are interested in so-called urban exploration, which means that you enter closed or abandoned environments even though it may be illegal.

They were of the opinion that there was no military activity going on at the base and also say that they did not understand what a protected object is.

The prosecutor does not buy that explanation, among other things with reference to the fact that in the film clips they talk about the base being active and that there are soldiers there.

They will be announced at 11 am.
