The facts occurred in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday shortly after two o'clock in the morning in the city center of Strasbourg.

More precisely Quai des Pêcheurs, a particularly popular sector of the city.

Three individuals, aged 29, 18 and a 16-year-old minor, threatened a passerby with a knife, according to a police source.

After stealing his wallet and mobile phone, the trio fled towards Place du Corbeau, still in the city center.

It was a patrol from the Anti-Crime Squad (BAC) which, seeing the individuals fleeing, intercepted them in this same square, while other police patrols converged on the scene.

In the race, one of the fugitives got rid of the wallet and the telephone.

During the search, a knife was found on one of the individuals.

The suspects as well as the weapon have been formally recognized by the victim, adds the same police source.

She should file a complaint.

The three men were taken into custody.

A situation that one of them knows well for having been placed there the day before and last week.
