The electricity industry: Will need 8,000 people in the next few years

The exhibition area is divided into eight different stations depending on the focus.

- It means a lot to us, to meet, see the new technology, the latest methods and to meet to talk about how we should proceed, says Dan Jisei, marketing engineer at Eskilstuna Strängnäs energy and environment, who organizes the fair.

That the industry feels that there is a lack of people is a big challenge, he says.

- There are approximately 8,000 people needed within the next few years.

There is talk of a tripling of the electricity demand in the industry when more people switch to electricity, says Dan Jisei.

Among the visitors during the day were students from Västerås University of Applied Sciences.

- You walk around among the companies, try to talk to everyone, says student Simon Österholm.

The fair is held every four years and ends on 20 May.
