Russia annexes an area in central Ukraine to its territory and announces the circulation of the ruble instead of the UAH

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khosnolin noted today, Wednesday, the good potential of the Zaporozhye region in terms of production of building materials, and the region can help restore all liberated lands in Ukraine.

Khosnolin told reporters: “Here we are really counting on the assistance of the region (in the matter of restoring liberated lands in Ukraine) in terms of building materials, since there is good potential for building materials, and in Russia today there is not enough building materials. Therefore, we believe that it is necessary to use all something as much as possible from companies, including the restoration of the lands of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions."

During his working visit to Melitopol, Khosnolin highly appreciated the work of the administration, noting the cleanliness of the city.

Khosnolin also revealed that he came to Melitopol to provide maximum assistance "for the integration of the Zaporozhye region with Russia, noting its great prospects" within a "friendly Russian family".

"I think the prospect of the region is to work in our close-knit Russian family, which is why I came here to provide maximum assistance for the integration," Khosnolin told reporters.

Khosnolin revealed that "the Zaporozhye region will be supported in the development of agricultural production and industry, and the region will not remain in the shadows."

“I believe that it (Zaporozhye region) will not remain in the shadows under any circumstances, we will organize full cooperation with Crimea and all the territory of Russia, and now everything depends on the speed of decision-making.”

According to him, the Zaporozhye region will receive assistance from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and the Industrial Development Fund, since "the necessary funds are available," adding: "We will develop all these programs and integrate them with the region."

"The purpose of our arrival is to provide maximum assistance to restore life to the city, the city's economy, so that people can return to their normal lives as soon as possible, there is work, and there is a chance to live and rest in peace," Khosnolin added.

Khosnolin said the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant "would work for Russia", but was ready to supply electricity to Ukraine "if it paid for it."

"Electric energy is a commodity that cannot be stored in warehouses, so if the energy system of Ukraine is ready to accept and pay the money, we will work, if not, the plant will work for Russia," he added.

"Nuclear is one of the cheapest forms of electricity, so it's quite competitive, and we wouldn't have such problems to worry about where to sell the electricity," he added.

"In all the liberated territories of Ukraine, it is planned to launch the maximum rate of circulation of the ruble," Khosnolin added.

"Now we need to launch the banking system as soon as possible, the issue of parallel circulation of the ruble and the hryvnia (Ukrainian currency) we will, of course, launch the maximum volume of ruble trading," Khosnolin told reporters.

Residents of the region will receive pensions and salaries in rubles this month, so that the ruble will gradually replace the grryvnia
