First of all, I would like to express my warm congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade!

I would like to express my sincere welcome to all the guests attending the Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit!

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and best wishes to people from all walks of life at home and abroad who have long cared about and supported China's reform, opening up and modernization drive!

　　Since its establishment in 1952, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has played an important role in tightening the ties of interests between Chinese and foreign enterprises, promoting international economic and trade exchanges, and promoting the development of state-to-state relations, based on China and facing the world.

China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has always regarded serving Chinese and foreign enterprises as its foundation, promoting trade and investment, promoting institutional opening, actively exploring and innovating in the fields of international economic and trade arbitration, intellectual property services, commercial mediation, etc. Economic and trade cooperation has been matched and bridged, and economic globalization has been actively promoted towards a more open, inclusive, inclusive, balanced and win-win direction.

The 70-year history of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade is an important manifestation of China's continuous expansion of opening up, and it is also an important witness of the sharing of development opportunities and the realization of mutual benefit and win-win results for enterprises from all over the world.

　　At present, the century-old changes and the epidemic of the century are intertwined, economic globalization has encountered adverse currents, and the world has entered a new period of turbulence and change.

Business circles of various countries have more ardent expectations for peaceful development, stronger calls for fairness and justice, and more urgent pursuit of win-win cooperation.

I would like to make 4 suggestions.

　　First, we must work together to defeat the epidemic.

At present, the new crown pneumonia epidemic has been repeatedly delayed and the speed of transmission has accelerated, posing a serious threat to people's life safety and health, and has a serious impact on the development of the world economy.

We must uphold the supremacy of the people and life, actively carry out international cooperation in vaccine research and development, production, and distribution, strengthen global public health governance, build multiple defense lines against the epidemic, and promote the building of a community of human health.

　　Second, revitalize trade and investment.

It is necessary to coordinate epidemic prevention and control and economic development, strengthen the coordination of macroeconomic policies of various countries, and push the world economy out of the shadow of the crisis as soon as possible.

China has put forward a global development initiative and called on all parties to make joint efforts to comprehensively advance the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

It is necessary to promote the transformation of the driving force, the transformation of the mode and the adjustment of the structure of the world economy, so as to put the world economy on the track of long-term, healthy and stable development.

It is necessary to support the multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization at its core, maintain the security and stability of the global industrial chain and supply chain, make the cake of cooperation bigger, and make development achievements better benefit the people of all countries.

　　Third, adhere to innovation-driven.

It is necessary to tap the potential for innovation and growth, jointly strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights, formulate rules on the basis of full participation and consensus building, and create an open, fair, just and non-discriminatory environment for scientific and technological development.

It is necessary to deepen innovation exchanges and cooperation, promote the deep integration of science and technology with the economy, strengthen the sharing of innovation achievements, and strive to break down the barriers that restrict the flow of innovation elements such as knowledge, technology, and talents, so that the source of innovation can fully flow.

　　Fourth, improve global governance.

In today's world, the futures and destinies of all countries are closely linked. To engage in "small circles" in the world will only push the world towards division and confrontation.

We must adhere to true multilateralism, practice the global governance concept of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, mobilize global resources, respond to global challenges, and promote global development.

We must adhere to dialogue without confrontation, tear down walls without building walls, integrate without decoupling, inclusiveness without exclusion, and lead the reform of the global governance system with the concept of fairness and justice.

　　I would like to reiterate that China's determination to expand high-level opening-up will not change, and China's door will only open wider.

China will continue to create a market-oriented, law-based and international business environment, implement the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement at a high level, promote high-quality joint construction of the “Belt and Road”, and provide more market opportunities, investment opportunities and growth for the global business community opportunity.
