At the same time, civilians, including seriously ill patients, were forced to leave the medical facility under threat of reprisal, Mizintsev said.
He added that units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on all approaches to the clinic set up roadblocks and equipped firing points.
On May 17, Mizintsev said that Ukrainian nationalists from the Azov and Aidar battalions had set up firing positions in kindergartens, hospitals, and churches.
