Kurti announced this at a seminar at the Washington Atlantic Council.

"Our ongoing cooperation strengthens Kosovo's long-term commitment to peace, security and NATO membership," TASS quoted him as saying.

In particular, Kurti recalled that the Kosovo security forces were deployed together with the United States in Kuwait, and the republic is also participating in the joint US military exercises Defender Europe 21.

Pristina "welcomes the bids of Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia to join the European Union, and also hopes that the EU will accept Kosovo's bid this year," Kurti said.

Earlier, the Council of Europe received an application from the unrecognized Kosovo to join the organization and submitted it to the Committee of Ministers.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke about the application of the self-proclaimed Kosovo for membership in the Council of Europe.
