On Wednesday 18 May and also on Wednesday 25 May, there will be doctoral promotions at Uppsala University - a solemn celebration of those who have taken their doctoral degree.
Both days begin with a salute fired at the castle's north tower.
The ceremony in the university building begins at 12 noon and in connection with it, more cannon shots will be fired.
A total of just over 130 doctors will be promoted on the 18th and around 120 a week later.
The reason why there are two promotions so close to each other is because the winter promotion has been postponed.
