The Guinness Book of Records has just awarded the title of world's tallest dog to Zeus, a two-year-old Great Dane, or Great Dane.

While he already weighed 11 kg at only 3 months, he now exceeds 91 kg and measures just over a meter high at the withers.

If he stands on his hind legs, he even reaches 2.10 m, reports the

20 to 24 bowls of dry food per day

“To say I was surprised was an understatement,” said owner Brittany Davis.

Although she wanted a big dog, she found that Zeus was growing fast, very fast.

It was his brother who gave him this dog in February 2020.

Two years later, she finds herself with the largest dog in the world.

"He's always loved to eat and now he eats 10-12 bowls of dry food twice a day," Brittany Davis said.

Zeus also eats fried eggs and even carrots.

"He's so big he can stand at counter level"

But the animal also takes advantage of its large size to steal food, including breakfast from Brittany Davis' son.

"He doesn't have to strain too much, he's so tall he can stand at counter level and grab whatever he wants," the owner said.

Despite his imposing size, Zeus still behaves like a baby and loves getting on people's laps.

A bit cumbersome on his sofa…
