Convicted of libel - submitted a proposal for a veil ban the same evening

Lundberg believes that it is a violation of the Education Act and that the hijab pays homage to the Prophet Mohammed and thus the death penalty.

He now urges Ronneby municipality to distance itself from the Koran and the staff who wear the veil, something P4 Blekinge was the first to tell. 

Controversial issue

In Skåne, the veil ban has been a controversial issue.

Among other things, the veil ban in Skurup provoked strong reactions.

And in November 2020, the administrative court ruled that Skurup may not introduce a veil ban in the municipality's schools.

The Administrative Court concluded that it restricts religious freedom. 

But in January, the Supreme Administrative Court granted leave to appeal for a ban on handicrafts in schools in both Staffanstorp and Skurup.
