According to TASS, the demonstrators gathered in France Square demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Several thousand people are participating in the rally.
On a specially installed large screen, the organizers show the audience videos about the actions that took place in Armenian cities and the footage of the police detention of the participants.
Earlier in Yerevan, protesting opposition supporters, at the call of Saghatelyan, blocked the entrances to the building where a number of Armenian ministries are located.
They later unblocked the exits.
