US investigative authorities have discovered a huge tunnel hidden beneath the ground.

A tunnel from a warehouse in San Diego, California, near the Mexican border, used for drug smuggling.

The tunnel is about 531m long and 18m deep, and the tunnel is equipped with ventilation devices to prevent suffocation, electrical wiring, and even tracks so that drugs can be transported easily.

Investigators arrested six people and seized 799 kg of cocaine and 1.6 kg of heroin from their homes and vehicles.

Since 2006, authorities have discovered 15 underground drug smuggling tunnels in California alone, near the Mexican border.

U.S. federal law requires that if an illegal underground tunnel is found, the U.S. authorities will pour cement to block the tunnel.

Netizens responded, "The ability to make things like this should be used for good... It's a pity!", "There are not one or two tunnels that only appear in movies... The law needs to be strengthened."
