Many cases can be described as unexplained.

[ Ryan Graves / Reservist Navy Pilot: Given the characteristics of the aircraft and the revealed speed, there is no form or energy source that can float in the air in such a state.

]

A U.S. military official testified that there is still no evidence that the unidentified flying phenomenon is related to extraterrestrial life.

[Scott Bray / Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence: We have not found any material evidence that the origin is not from Earth.

]

However, lawmakers continued to point out that the unidentified flight phenomenon could pose a threat to US national security.

[Andre Carlson / US House Intelligence Committee Sub-Chairman: Because UAP (Unidentified Flight Phenomena) is a real threat to national security, the Intelligence Committee has an obligation to investigate.

]

This hearing was held again in more than 50 years since former President Ford personally led a hearing on the impact of UFOs on national security in 1966.
