Very hot day on Wednesday before a stormy deterioration in the west, Météo-France announces in its forecast.

The sun will again shine widely in an even warmer atmosphere than the day before.

However, gray weather will again be present at daybreak on the Languedoc-Roussillon coast before dissipating in the morning.

Clouds will bud over the Southern Alps from midday and give a few stormy showers in the afternoon.

In the west, high clouds will temporarily give a slightly milkier sky.

The weather will become heavy in the afternoon, the sky will threaten and end up giving thunderstorms which will circulate over eastern Brittany, Normandy, Pays de la Loire then in the evening over Hauts de France and the west. Parisian.

These storms will be strong at times with numerous thunderclaps, hail and gusty winds.

Further south, on the Aquitaine coast, after a hot afternoon, the wind will suddenly shift to the west, increasing with gusts of 60 to 70 km/h accompanied by a marked cooling.

Storms will finally break out in the evening from the west of the Pyrenees and from Aquitaine to Poitou then from the west of Midi-Pyrénées to Limousin.

Locally 33 to 35 degrees in the Southwest

In terms of temperatures, we will generally expect the morning between 11 to 15 degrees in the northern half, with 9 to 12 degrees in Brittany, and 14 to 18 degrees in the southern half.

The maximums will be very hot with 30 degrees reached or exceeded in many regions, and locally 33 to 35 degrees in the South-West and the Rhône valley where temperature records for the month of May could be broken.

We expect 20 to 25 degrees on the tip of Brittany and near the English Channel and 24 to 28 degrees on the shores of the Mediterranean.
