“Today, at about 05:00, large-caliber weapons were fired at the border village of Alekseyevka in the Glushkovsky district,” Starovoit wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to him, no one was injured as a result of the incident, three private houses, a car and a school building were damaged.
He added that the shelling was suppressed by return fire from the border guards.
Earlier in the Kursk region, the "yellow" level of terrorist threat was extended until May 25.
