“The chairman of the Investigative Committee instructed to record and investigate another fact of shelling of a settlement in the Belgorod region,” the investigative body said in a statement.
Investigators intend to establish all the circumstances of the incident, as well as give a legal assessment of the Ukrainian security forces involved in the shelling.
Earlier, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced the shelling of the village of Bezymeno by the Ukrainian armed forces.
One person received minor injuries.
