After a new interruption linked to a case of Covid-19 among the accused, the trial of the attacks of November 13, 2015 resumed this Tuesday, May 17 with new testimonies from civil parties, and in particular the members of the group the Eagles of Death Metal who were in concert at the Bataclan this evening of November 13th.

This concert was the best of the tour.

Dressed all in black, Eden Galindo, the group's ex-guitarist, is the first to appear at the helm.

When the first shots ring out around 9:40 p.m. in the Bataclan concert hall where the Eagles of Death Metal are performing that evening, he thinks the sound system has exploded.

Jesse Hughes, the singer of the group, understands immediately.

Helped by an interpreter, he specifies:

The Eagles of Death Metal performed in concert in Paris in February 2016 and most recently at the end of April.

Several of the civil parties had returned to see them.

The consequence of these attacks is that I have a large family of friends and it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen

”, confides the singer to RFI.

Six and a half years after the attacks in Paris and Saint-Denis which injured 130 and hundreds, the singer of the rock group says he has managed to forgive the accused.

Anyone can get lost and everyone has to find their way, especially those guys in the box.

I hope they find divine peace.

I wasn't ready to forgive them at first.

But I got there.

After Eden Galindo and Jesse Hughes, about twenty women and men, survivors of the Bataclan, recounted their traumatic experience and their persistent suffering more than six years after the attacks which caused the death of 130 people in Paris and Saint-Denis. .

The hearings of the civil parties must continue until Friday.

The lawyers for the civil parties will begin their pleadings on Monday.

The verdict is expected on June 29.
