A video of teachers calmly singing and caring for children after a shooting near a kindergarten in Chile has gone viral.

On the 12th local time, a gunfight took place near a kindergarten in Santiago, Chile.

As the teachers and children were about to start their day, suddenly gunshots were heard outside the kindergarten, and the teachers put about 80 children on the floor in the classroom and sang to calm them down.

Young students under the age of five fell on the floor as instructed by their teachers, and some children covered their ears with their hands in terrified fear.

The teachers sang a song to the children that consisted of the words "Rabbit, the bad hunter is coming for you. Hurry up, run away, run away."

The children seemed to find some stability in the teachers' soothing songs, and some children even sang along to the songs.

Rossani Lagos, 62, a teacher who was at the scene while singing at the kindergarten at the time, said, "There have been so many shootings that some residents want to move to another area, but this was the first time that a shooting had occurred near a kindergarten. "He said in an interview with the local media.

According to teacher Lagos, there are frequent gunfights in this area, so we have prepared a manual to deal with this situation.

She said, "It would be best not to apply the manual, but unfortunately that was not the case in reality."

Lagos continued, "As young children, they seem to know nothing, but children instinctively feel a crisis. I just hope that there is no trauma left for them."

The teachers sang until the shooting ended outside the kindergarten, so the children were able to get through the crisis safely.

When the story of the teachers who calmly guided the children was delivered, local netizens cheered for the teachers with reactions such as "I cry at the sound of the teachers' songs", "The teachers responded calmly and well", "The teacher is a hero" I did.
