The Democratic Party has filed a complaint with the National Assembly Ethics Special Committee against Rep. Park Wan-joo, who is suspected of being sexually abused.

According to the National Assembly Bill Information System, 24 people including Rep. Jin Seong-joon of the Democratic Party submitted a disciplinary bill to the National Assembly Ethics Committee.

A key official within the Democratic Party said, "We have completed the filing process this evening."

Rep. Park is suspected of attempting to remove her from office when she tried to sexually assault her aide at the end of last year and failed after the victim reported it to the party.

The Democratic Party held a general assembly yesterday and expelled Rep. Park Wan-ju.

The victim's side filed a complaint with the police against Rep. Park on charges of forcible sexual assault by force, defamation by false facts, and abuse of power.

If the Special Ethics Committee of the National Assembly decides on a disciplinary measure after review, it is possible to remove up to a maximum of a member's office through a vote at the plenary session.

However, since the establishment of the Special Ethics Committee of the National Assembly in 1991, there has not been a single case in which a member of the National Assembly has been expelled through the plenary session.
