The scene attracted hundreds of community residents to attend the celebration. The traditional cultural performances of various ethnic groups were eye-catching. Three Asian-Pacific people with meritorious deeds were honored, demonstrating the common vision of "unity".

  This year, the South Brooklyn Chinese Community has changed from the previous year that various groups organized separate activities. For the first time, 16 organizations have joined together to celebrate the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, and received the assistance of 5 representative offices of the South Brooklyn Chinese District, including the State Senate. Congressman Gonard, State Representatives Peter White and Colton, and City Councilors Kirsten and Li Kaijian.

  The theme of this traditional month celebration is "unity", and the focus is not limited to the Chinese community, but to the entire Asian Pacific community, calling for unity, tolerance, harmony, and enhancing mutual understanding of all ethnic groups.

In addition to the rich and wonderful performances such as Chinese lion dance and children's taekwondo, three Asian-Pacific people who have made contributions to the community in different positions also received awards and commendations at the event.
