A man was rushed to the Nantes University Hospital in a condition deemed "serious" after being stabbed in downtown Nantes, report the Loire-Atlantique firefighters.
The facts took place Sunday evening, around 10 p.m., Place Beaumanoir, in the Gigant-Lamoricière sector.
The emergency services intervened to assist a 30-year-old victim who had just been assaulted.
He was stabbed in the thigh, say the firefighters.
A police investigation has been opened.
