"Ignoring China's position and objective facts, grossly interfering in China's internal affairs, maliciously slandering China, and once again using the Russian-Ukrainian conflict to put pressure on China are all absurd rhetoric not worth the trouble," Lijian said.

He added that the Chinese authorities call on the G7 countries to respect China's sovereignty, as well as stop slandering it and interfering in China's internal affairs. 

Lijian also said that Beijing considers the G7 call to China "not to undermine sanctions against Russia" inappropriate. 

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev noted that the G7 countries, urging China not to help Russia in circumventing Western sanctions and not to provide assistance to it, thus continue to directly interfere in the affairs of the PRC.
