  Peru's National Emergency Operations Center said that on the afternoon of the 14th, an inter-provincial long-distance bus from Tayabamba, Lalibotade Province, north-central Peru to the capital Lima suddenly lost control and overturned on a mountain road in Ancash Province, crashing. It entered a cliff more than 100 meters deep, causing heavy casualties.

  Local police said the injured have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
