There were 4,855 new cases of new coronary pneumonia diagnosed in a single day, and a total of 81,948 students in schools at all levels were infected. There are 22 counties in Taiwan. The city and 2132 schools have suspended physical classes for the whole school or some classes.
According to the latest statistics on the confirmed cases of COVID-19 among students in schools at all levels of the education department, from April 20, 2021 to May 15, 2022, a total of 81,948 students were infected, including 81,177 local cases (an increase of 4,855 cases from the previous day's statistics), 771 cases were imported from abroad (the same as the previous day's statistics).
In addition, as of the afternoon of May 15, according to statistics from the education department, a total of 316 garden schools in Taiwan have suspended physical courses for the whole school, and another 1,816 garden schools have suspended physical courses for some classes. The suspended schools cover 22 counties and cities.
